Bloomington Historical Society curator Jean Bellefeuille researches and catalogs
all sorts of artifacts each year at the Old Town Hall Museum. Reuniting lost
rings with their rightful owners, or their descendants, is not her specialty,
but being in the right place at the right time helped make that happen earlier
this year.

attacks on U.S. soil, the Old Town Hall Museum in Bloomington helps
keep alive the memory of Bloomington graduate Tom Burnett, who was on board the
United Airlines flight the morning its passengers intervened and prevented
terrorists from using it as another weapon.

Canoe takes its place of honor
For decades a locally discoverd dugout canoe sat in a bed of sand in the basement
of Bloomington's Old Town Hall. This fall, the newly cleaned and restored canoe
assumed a place of honor among the society's permanent displays upstairs in the
recently renovated Old Town Hall.
