  • Online Access to Museum Artifacts

    October 1, 2024: The Bloomington Historical Society has received a grant for $2550 "to improve collections care and management through an updated collections management system." In addition to vastly improving museum recordkeeping, the CollectiveAccess system will bring Bloomington history to the public through MNCollections.org, where you can search for and view items in museum collections from your internet-connected device or computer.

    This project has been funded in part by the State of Minnesota from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the Minnesota Historical Society.

The Old Town Hall Museum

The Bloomington Historical Society operates its museum in Bloomington, Minnesota's historic Old Town Hall, located at 10200 Penn Avenue South. We have exhibits of local history from many time periods. A preserved dugout canoe, Bloomington settlement era artifacts, and a military-themed display to name just a few. Museum Programs and Events

The Bloomington Old Town Hall Museum hosts a series of programs and special events every year. Admission is free and donations are very much appreciated.
